Quintin Laing Honored

In a list of the top 10 players in the NHL that you don't know about, released by The Hockey News, Lang is ranked #6.

"6. Quintin Laing, LW, 28, Washington (18-1-3-4-2, 11:56 ice time). An eighth-year journeyman pro from Rosetown, Sask., he previously played in Delisle (SAHA), Kelowna (WHL), Jackson (ECHL) and Norfolk (AHL) and broke into the NHL with Chicago (three games) in 2003-04."

Congratulations Quintin on some long overdue recognition.

Quintin Laing is a tribute to old time hockey, and to Coach Bruce Boudreau. If Glen Hanlon were here he'd have called up Chris Borque, a fairly good developing player but not what the team needed at the time. Laing is a winner who works hard and does whatever it takes for the team to win, not another imature young hotshot who wants to be all about his goals and himself. The Caps under Boudreau play like a great team does - everyone not just Olie, Ovie, Semin and Clark - everyone is always looking out for each other and finding ways to win. Laing's presence helps cement that attitude throughout the team, I have no doubt him being here is making everyone play harder. LETS GO CAPS!!!!
