The Hershey Bears announced today that they have reassigned defenseman Marc Busenburg(Pictured) to South Carolina. He played in 22 games with the Bears while recording 2 assists and 2 penalty minutes. His numbers with the Stingrays earlier this season were much better as he had 4 goals and 7 assists for 11 points in just 18 games.

With the recent return of injured defenseman Brian Pothier and John Erskine to the Capitals, a trickle down effect led to Mike Green being sent to the Bears, and left no more room for Busenburg in Hershey. He will be a welcomed addition to a Stingrays blue line that allowed 13 goals in 3 games over the weekend, all resulting in losses. South Carolina returns to action tonight in Augusta to take on a Lynx team that is currently three points ahead of them in the South Division.
